Life Teen-Youth Ministry

Are You Looking for a Dynamic

High School Youth Group?

You Have Come to the Right Place!

During our Friday Life Nights, we seek to communicate the Gospel Message to our teenagers in a relevant way, through their culture and common experiences.  Our high school youth group is like an extended family, and we aim to make our teens feel welcome.  Teens may invite their friends who don’t go to St. John Fisher to participate. Our hope is that each one finds a home here at St. John Fisher Church.  Our Life Nights are always geared for high school-aged students, and they are facilitated by our Adult CORE Team.

What happens at a Life Night?

For our Friday Life Nights, we gather together in the Gym to socialize and share a meal.  After breaking bread together, we play fun games to get to know each other better.  Next, we gather as a large group to hear a message related to our Catholic Faith.  Later we’ll break into smaller groups to discuss what we have received through the faith talk.  We close in prayer to gain strength and guidance from the Holy Spirit.  This grace will help us to practice what we have learned and be able to implement it in our daily lives.

Our Life Teen Ministry also participates in additional special events throughout the year.  We plan to have an XLT Praise and Worship Evening.  In February, we go to Catholic Youth Day in Anaheim with 14,000 high school teens attending dynamic Catholic talks and a special Mass with Archbishop Gomez.  We celebrate Mass on the Beach in the summer.  In August, we stay in the dorms at U.C.L.A. for City of Saints, a weekend Catholic conference.  In the Fall, we attend Life Teen Inspiration at Magic Mountain, enjoying all the coasters and ending the day with dynamic national Lifeteen speakers in praise and worship.

Join Us!

All high school students are welcome to join us in worship at our Teen Mass every Sunday at 5:00 pm. It’s great seeing friends at Mass, and high school students are invited up around the altar during the Consecration of the Eucharist.

If this is something that sounds appealing to you as a teenager, or as a parent for your high school teen, please come and check us out!  There is no cost to join our Life Nights.  We meet throughout the school year once a month in the Gym on Fridays.  ALL high school students are invited, so feel free to bring your friends!
