Mass on the Beach

Fr. Francis Aguilar presided at our annual Mass on the Beach. Martin Gaytan sang for us as our praise and worship leader. During Fr. Francis’ homily, a pod of dolphins swam behind him very close to the shore. 75 teens, parents, and parishioners enjoyed this event, held at Portuguese Bend Beach Club. After the special mass, everyone dined on delicious food from Stonefire Grill.

Visiting Pregnancy Help Center, Torrance

About 20 teens and adults attended a tour of the Pregnancy Help Center in Torrance last week. The teens each donated a newborn outfit and booties for the moms at the center. The teens saw an ultrasound of babies in utero and  heard about the medical services and counseling that are available for free to women experiencing crisis pregnancies. This is all due to generous donations for the center. Volunteering is always welcome and needed at 310-320-8976.

Teen Community Updates

35 parents & teens joined Fr. Francis Aguilar & Fr. Peter Devereux, preparing sack lunches to pass out to the homeless encamped at Skid Row. The priests led the group in prayer over those individuals who wanted a special blessing or specific intentions. Everyone was touched by this powerful experience of sharing time with our brothers and sisters who are in great need. If you are interested in joining a future event, please contact the Katie Dante: 310-377-4573.

Crosswalk Dates 2018-2019:

High School Students Help Seniors with Technology

Our Confirmation students did a service project to assist parishioners with their cell phones, laptops, and ipads. We called this Techie Training, and the teens did a great job patiently explaining to the seniors the ins and outs of their tech devices. Thanks to all our teens for sharing your time and talents!
