Our Sandwich Ministry makes 1,000 sandwiches every week. These sandwiches are delivered to Catholic churches and charities in Wilmington and Long Beach. It’s amazing what a small group of people can do in just one hour a week.
We have three different Sandwich Ministry groups.
- Tuesday Morning – Every Tuesday at 8:15 am in Barrett Hall
- Friday Afternoon – 2nd and 4th Friday of every month at 3:15 pm in Barrett Hall
- Religious Education Parent Association – 1st Friday of every month during the school year at 3:30 pm in the Seaside Room.
How can you help? There are two ways you can participate in this wonderful ministry:
- Time – Each group gladly welcomes helping hands, shoppers and drivers. Whatever your schedule allows.
- Treasure – You can contribute to St. John Fisher Charitable Outreach (Obra Buena). Contributions to Obra Buena are separate from our general collection, so they are not used to determine our archdiocesan church assessment or our Together in Mission goal. Every penny received is distributed to the needy in our community; the more you give, the more we distribute.You will find Obra Buena coupons as part of your monthly coupon packet. You can also give to Obra Buena online through Faith Direct.
